Over 500 years of history
Located in Sighisoara Medieval Fortress, the building, now transformed into "Casa Georgius Krauss", harmoniously integrates itself into the historical landmarks of the architectural site given by: The Catholic Church in the Neighborhood, the Central Square, the Sighisoara City Hall and the Clock Tower - tourist attractions of great interest.
The restoration and refunctioning of the building in the guesthouse was made taking care that the details specific to the original construction, from the structure (vaults, roofing, gaps), to the finishes that include wall paintings, frescoes, wooden cassette and painted ceilings dated back to 1600 , are beeing kept.
Here lived and wrote the history of Sighisoara and Transylvania the noble notary Georgius Krauss.

     ·  Staff still remembered us from our visit last year. Location at the back of the old town, with a view on the city walls and the hills beyond, so you're right in the old town without feeling you're in the middle of a tourist area. Every room is unique. Very nice à la carte breakfast, nice dinnner options and good wines. Staff very friendly and helpful.

     ·  The hotel had great character, and the restaurant had interesting and varied meals for non meat eaters like us. Staff were very friendly, obliging and helpful! Sanju in particular spoke English very well, and was always happy and smiling.
     ·  Just a small thing; it would have been nice to have a range of seasonal fruits on offer for breakfast.

     ·  Wonderful staff, so friendly. So touched & impressed that Mayers (?) picked us up from train at 11.45pm. Every bit of food we wanted was prepared just right. The room/ en-suite were superb.

     ·  The property is very centrally located with a lovely restaurant and also close to other restaurants nearby.rnThe staff are very attentive and the place was clean and immaculate, with a classically decorated interior.rnThe restaurant also had delicious local cuisine and the service was again very high quality. Would definitely recommend!
